Travel agency requires an operating certificate from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism under Law No. 1618. Group A agencies cover all travel agency services, Group B ticket sales for international land, sea and air transport, and Group C only domestic tours for Turkish citizens. TÜRSAB membership is mandatory once the certificate is obtained.
Requirements
- Operating certificate application and deposit of the guarantee set for the group
- Employment of an information officer or staff qualified in tourism
- Premises meeting the required physical conditions as a self-contained space
- The trade name including the words 'travel agency'
- Completion of TÜRSAB membership
