Why EY Atlas
Setting up a company is easy. Structuring it correctly — and collecting the state support that belongs to you — is not.
Structure first, registration second
Choosing a company type in haste creates tax and incentive costs that last for years. We answer the joint stock or limited, branch or subsidiary question on day one, based on your operating plan and incentive eligibility.
Regulated, not routine
Most advisers stop at a standard limited company. Our expertise lies in incorporating and licensing companies subject to BDDK, SPK, Central Bank, EPDK, SEDDK and ministerial approval.
Incentives designed in, not bolted on
Your activity code, investment location, workforce profile and shareholding structure determine which incentives you qualify for. We plan these at incorporation — and for many incentives, retrospective claims are also possible.
In your own language
Turkish, English, Arabic, Russian and Chinese. We also manage sworn translation, apostille and consular legalisation; you only sign.
Fixed price, no surprises
You see fees, notary, translation and advisory costs itemised in a single quote. Once the process starts, the price does not change unless the scope does.
Without travelling to Türkiye
The entire incorporation can be completed remotely through a power of attorney. A single appointment at the Turkish consulate in your country is usually enough.
Two-minute check
Do you know which incentives you are entitled to?
Most companies leave significant sums on the table every year simply because they are unaware of the supports available to them. Answer seven short questions and see the list of programmes that fit you.
No registration required. We can also email you the results.

Frequently asked questions
Can I set up a company without coming to Türkiye?
Yes. The entire incorporation can be completed remotely with a power of attorney issued at the Turkish consulate in your country. Only for bank account opening do some banks require a one-off in-person visit; we clarify that requirement at the outset and, where needed, direct you to banks that can open accounts remotely.
Can a foreign national own 100% of a Turkish company?
Yes. Law No. 4875 on Foreign Direct Investment grants foreign investors equal treatment with domestic investors; a company may be wholly owned by a foreign individual or legal entity. There is no requirement for a Turkish partner or a local director. Shareholding limits apply only in a small number of sectors such as aviation, maritime and media.
What is the minimum capital, and must I pay it up front?
For new incorporations the minimum capital is TRY 50,000 for a limited company and TRY 250,000 for a joint stock company. A limited company need not deposit the capital in a bank at incorporation; a joint stock company must pay at least 25% of the cash capital before registration. The balance is paid within 24 months.
How long does incorporation take?
With complete documents, a limited company is registered in 2–5 business days and a joint stock company in 3–7. For foreign-owned structures the timeline is driven not by registration but by the apostille and sworn translation of documents coming from abroad. For branches and liaison offices, ministerial approval extends this to 2–4 weeks.
Can I claim incentives for past periods?
For many social security premium incentives, retrospective correction is possible for periods in which you met the conditions but did not benefit. Time limits vary by incentive type. We review your payroll and SGK records and report the missed incentives and the recoverable amount.
Does setting up a company give me residence or citizenship?
Setting up a company alone does not grant residence; however, your company can sponsor a work permit for you, and a work permit substitutes for a residence permit. Work permits require the company to meet paid-up capital, turnover and Turkish-national employment thresholds. Citizenship is a separate route: options include a fixed capital investment of at least USD 500,000, or the purchase of real estate worth at least USD 400,000 with a three-year no-sale annotation on the title deed.
