Providing electronic communications services requires authorisation from the Information and Communication Technologies Authority under Law No. 5809. Authorisation takes two forms: notification for services not requiring resource allocation, and a right of use for those requiring frequency or number allocation. Internet service provision, fixed telephony and infrastructure operation fall under different authorisation types.
