To undertake construction work subject to a building permit in Türkiye, a Building Contractor Authorisation Certificate Number must be obtained from the Ministry of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change. Certificates are grouped according to work experience, financial adequacy and technical staff criteria; the higher the group, the larger the buildable area that may be undertaken. Participation in public tenders additionally requires work experience certificates.
